Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year at St. Paul’s Lutheran School
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade
Welcome to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade for the 2016-2017 school year. My name is Mrs. Neilitz and I am very excited to get our school year underway. I have been serving the families of St. Paul’s for 12 years. It is a privilege to be at SPLS, as we have the best families! It is an honor to be able to work with students in a Christian day-school, where we know that God is always with us, and will never forsake us. Proclaiming this truth is our number one priority!
We have rigorous academics at SPLS. Our students are challenged to do their best, and grow every day. What would you see and hear if you walked through our hallways? Children learning! In the mornings we begin our day with Religion, then we move into an hour and a half Literacy block. We work on reading skills, English, and Spelling during this time. Mondays and Fridays our students have the opportunity to have Spanish instruction. To finish our mornings, we complete our Math studies. Students are regularly a grade level ahead in Math, as we really do take our learning very seriously!
The afternoons have us busy doing Writer’s Workshop every day. We work hard to become great writers. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays we have time to dive into Social Studies, Geography, and Science. Tuesdays and Thursdays we have our Music, Art, and PE classes.
We would love to have you come and visit our school. Please know that you are always welcomed! Give us a call at 952-447-2117 to schedule a tour. We look forward to seeing you soon!
2016-2017 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders
Hopefully the weekend will bring healing for everyone!
Some important information –
** Spanish test is on Monday, February 13 (it was originally supposed to be today, but Mrs. Levine pushed it back because of the flu)
** Tuesday, 2/14, at 2:30 pm we will have a short Valentine’s Day celebration. Your child is invited to bring in something for each classmate. If your child would like to bring in a shoebox or a bag to decorate in school on Monday, we will be doing that in the afternoon.
** Wednesday, 2/15, we lead chapel at 8:45 am. Please join us, if you are able to fit that into your schedule.
** Friday, 2/17, I will be gone on a personal day. 😊
** No school on Monday, 2/20 for President’s Day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
