Beliefs & Mission

What we believe

Our Mission Statement
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School strives to respond to the Great Commission by equipping and empowering its members to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to their families, the community, and the world.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is through scripture alone that we are enlightened by God and come to know Him.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. All that we have in this life is a gift from Him.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Father’s only Son who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and who suffered, died, rose again, and ascended to heaven having become the complete sacrifice for our sins. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who calls us to faith, and recreates us in holiness. He has gifted all Christians to participate in the mission of His church and empowers us to set aside our lives for His purposes.

We believe that we were born sinful and that we would be lost eternally without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. Through faith and by grace alone in Christ we receive the free gift of salvation: cleansed, forgiven, and set free to live in Him and for Him.

We believe that Jesus Christ has located the good news of His Gospel within His church, and entrusted us with the mission of proclaiming salvation in His name to the whole world. Within His church we are nurtured by His word and Christian community.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:5, 8-9
